J. Matthew Sherwood
DVM, MS, DACVS-SA
After graduating from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, he furthered his skills during a surgery internship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center. After finishing his surgical residency at KSU, Dr. Sherwood achieved his ACVS board certification in 2016.
As a board-certified veterinary surgeon, Dr. Sherwood has devoted over two decades to the well-being of animals. Specializing in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, with a particular interest in canine athletes, he brings a wealth of experience to our CE programs. He has a special interest in both internal and external fixation of fractures, cranial cruciate ligament disease, and tibial plateau leveling osteotomy.
With a passion for continuous learning, Dr. Sherwood strives to remain at the forefront of veterinary advancements. He has contributed to numerous publications, reflecting his commitment to sharing knowledge and improving veterinary practices. Dr. Sherwood has a passion for teaching & lecturing. He actively serves as a Veterinary Information Network (VIN) consultant, fostering collaboration within the veterinary community.
